Welcome School Leavers

LM121: Computing Technologies is a NEW common entry programme for LM051: BSc Computer Systems, LM110: BSc Computer Games Development and LM083: BSc Mobile Communications and Security. The purpose of this new common entry programme is to allow students to sample topics from each of the three denominated programmes during Year 1 and then make an informed choice about which one of the three to select.

LM122: Creative Media and Interaction Design is a NEW common entry programme for LM113: BSc in Digital Media Design and LM114: BSc in Music, Media and Performance Technology.  You will follow a common first semester programme of study, and then you will specify your preference for one of these two courses. In the event that a programme is over-subscribed, places will be allocated based on UL exam performance.

You can apply for LM121 and/or LM122 through the Central Applications Office (CAO).

Welcome International Students

CSIS welcomes applications from non-EU students (called International Students) to all our undergraduate programmes. Applicants should apply to the International Education Division before July 1st to be considered for a place beginning the following September. However, it is advisable to apply earlier than this to ensure sufficient time for visa applications and so forth. International Mature Student Applicants apply in the same way.

Welcome Mature Students

Mature students (in general 23 years of age on the 1st of January of the year of registration) are most welcome to apply for entry to our undergraduate programmes. Each mature student applicant is considered on an individual basis. Academic qualifications, work experience, motivation and overall potential for the programme of study are evaluated usually by means of an interview.

Further details are available from the Mature Student Office. Mature students apply directly to the UL Admissions Office rather than through the Central Applications Office. While there is generally a deadline for applications, for some courses we offer a flexible admissions policy. Please contact the relevant course director.

Welcome Transfer Students

CSIS welcomes applications from students seeking to transfer into Year 2 or beyond of any of our undergraduate degree courses. Application forms and further details such as Entrance Requirements and Application Deadlines are available from the UL Admissions Office. However, potential applicants are advised to contact the relevant Course Director for informal discussion prior to applying.
