Mark Waggy
Biography:
Mark Waggy is an american in exile, seeking to fulfill dreams of a creative profession but doomed to a primarily science-based background. He graduated with a degree in physics and math, then studied music theory, composition and computer engineering; later taking a job doing biomedical research and living like a pauper to finance his need for further education in music technology and composition. He will be forced back to the Land of the Lazy when his Visa Expires in September and continue studying composition whilst unavoidably working in another science-based job.
Project Description:
Mark's composition is based on horizontal and vertical grouping ideas that work together to form a sense of electroacoustc counterpoint. The composition is not particularly concerned with communicating an explicit idea but rather using an idea for raw sculpting material, because he feels art should not be reduced tothe simplicity of cerebral concepts.
