Biography:
From Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, I completed a B.Tech in Information Technology and Telecommunications. Somehow that wasn't enough punishment for me so I decided to return and pursue the M.Sc in Interactive Media.
Project Description:
An Interactive Navigation and Learning System
There are two aspects that are to be addressed with this project. Education, Navigation, and a combination of both. How often have people been in a building and not know where they are or where they have to go? Or if they do indeed know where they are, they might not know what goes on in that particular location, or what they can gain from the services available in that particular building. An example of this could be, in the case of a company who runs an induction session for new employees. Instead of verbally relaying information to the target audience, the information can be gained by the user interacting and exploring the environment in question.
The aim of this project is to replace the existing structure of the way in which some educational and geographic information is relayed and replace it with something more interactive and hopefully fun. This will be achieved by using a combination of everyday technological devices (e.g. Mobile Phone), and ubiquitous technological equipment.
